Here’s the deal.
I’m doing a giveaway!! YAYAYAY! Clap your hands and shout for joy, little Internet, because this is gonna be good.
I’m giving away one engagement, bridal/groomal, or love shoot! So if you are like me and already married but want and need at least a bajillion photos of you and your love, you’re included too. The session will include up to two hours of coverage, up to two locations, and a cd of digital negatives with 100+ lovely, gorgeously edited photos.
Here’s how it’s gonna work: none of this random-luck-of-the-draw stuff. I never win those things, and I always ask very nicely.
So the session will go to the person who comes up with the most awesome idea for the shoot. This means cool clothes, sweet location, fun props, etc. For inspiration, go here.
Here's what to do:
1. Become a follower of this grand blog!
2. Submit your fa-habulous ideas for your session in the comments section and I will choose the winner and we will do the shoot and it will be joyful and great for everyone involved. Let the giveaway begin!
Submit your entry by Thursday, July 14th. No later. Seriously. You will have to pay me money no matter how great your idea is.

Well I'm guessing family is excluded from your giveaway but I would want to do a shoot in a waterfall with a mud fight. Bridal Veil could be cool. P.S. we need to hire you to take some family photos because Lincoln is going to be 18 months soon and we haven't done any photos of him since he was 2 weeks old.

Family's not excluded! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I would LOVE to take family photos. I miss you guys!
In a canoe. Maybe with some blankets and things like that.

Ooooooh! I love the waterfall idea. I've been wanting to have pictures outside, inside, upstairs, and downstairs of a barn. Also farmland. Or orchards. I'm just craving that small town feel lately, no matter how cliche that landscape might sound.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool giveaway!
I dont have any exciting plans, and I know it would be difficult, but I want pictures with our pup. I want nice pictures with him in them. Yay. That is all.
ReplyDeleteIf I was having a baby I would want pictures with balloons, pink and blue and then the color being revealed with the gender of the baby. maybe in a couple years :)
I'm totally in the same boat as you. We've been married two years, but have almost no pictures of us since our wedding. I want some family pictures!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted an orchard shoot. I think the perspective down a row is stunning. I've also thought it would be fun to do a nautical shoot out on a marina at a lake. Another idea that would be fun is one underwater. I'm not sure if that's even possible with the equipment you have, but wouldn't that be fun to have the girl in a floaty dress that would swirl around underwater? I have lots more ideas, but I'll stop there for now :)
Great giveaway!
How about a shoot in Seattle? I win :)
ReplyDeletein a candy store! with some pretty ribbons and brightly colored sugary stuff.

Well i don't have any super cool, original ideas. i like the idea of having pictures in downtown provo (love the architecture.) I also want some pictures in a field or up in the canyon with furniture or a picnic blanket or bicycles. No buildings or anything in those photos. If I have to pay for it would it be the cost of engagements even though we are already married? Please let me know! Love your portfolio so far!

Olivia!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words!
The session would be the cost of engagements, but I think we could work something out for less if you wanted less time of coverage, less edited photos, etc. Email me if you're interested! :)
I'd love to do engagements in the kid's playground at Kiwanis Park, swings and and climbing frames and all, hair in pigtails and big bows, with cute accessories like lollipops and balloons, while my boy and I play around on the rides and have a bunch of fun!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey so I'm a total dork commenting again, but I just had to elaborate on my nautical idea and share this with you. Think 1940s Nantucket with hydrangeas, our adorable beach cruisers that we got last Summer, and vintage inspired styling. I searched all over and this was the closest thing to my vision: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2011/06/14/nautical-engagement-session-by-lauren-gabrielle-photography/.
ReplyDeleteAlso, cute idea with the candy store, Hannah!
Amber, you're not a dork. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to get inspired and talk about it! Comment a bajillion times if you want to. (I wish that worked on other giveaways, ha.)
So my husband and I are BYU nerds (like he's been going to school here for eight years so far, and we've been married for half of those), so campus is a big part of our current and past life. It would be way fun to do a shoot at different locations around campus that are meaningful to our love story, such as:
ReplyDelete- A random computer lab in the library where we ran into each other when we were crushing on each other.
- The ballroom, where he surprised me by showing up to a ballroom class event before we started dating.
- The path below the terraced garden where we took a moonlight stroll on the way to swing dance club when we were dating.
- The duck pond, where we've gone on countless lunch date picnics.
- The JSB auditorium where we first held hands (during sacrament meeting!).
- A dance studio in the RB where we took the couples social dance class while I was expecting our first baby.
- The MOA gardens where we had our first kiss.
- The benches outside the ASB where he'd meet me for lunch breaks when I worked on campus.
P.S. I follow your blog using Google Reader.
Such a fun giveaway! My husband and I met at BYU but have lived in the bay area for the last 5 years. We are on our way to move back east and will be stopping through Provo late next week as we drive out. I would LOVE to do a photo shoot in the HBLL where we met (I worked there and he pretended to study there). I was way down in the dungeon where government information used to be and i would love a shoot with books and shelves and carts computers and all things library as props. i even have the old sign that hung in the library above the gov't info reference desk and would bring it with me. yes, i own it. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, this is great! My husband and I actually got married in December....but our photographer actually booked another wedding on our day. We didn't get to do much for bridals because of it :(
ReplyDeleteI know this airport loop I have taken photos at around Utah lake that has beautiful lighting, water puddles, and rickedy docks that I would love to take pictures at.
There is a rather large tree beside the marriage licensing building that has supports to hold up it's branches. I would love to take photos under it because I am tree-obsessed!
My wedding dress is an empire-waisted dress with heavy lace. I am from the south and it would be fun to take pictures in front of an old Victorian house with a parasol!
There are some rolling hills with horses and silos and tall grass out by Utah lake that I think would be amazing.
Devin and I met on a blind date-so I think it would be fun to have some pictures sitting at a table blind folded talking to each other.
I would love to take pictures on the top of a hill with balloons so it makes it look like we are flying off with the balloons.
:)
I followed via Google Reader! I'd love to win this, since we never had a real engagement photo shoot and we still don't have our wedding photos - 5 months after the fact.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to take pictures in the mountains with lots of grass and trees, in jeans and t-shirts and bare feet, because we are chill. I'd love to have pictures that show how simply we live and enjoy each other's company.
